Krabes, Magdalene (28 SEP 1868 - 21 OCT 1956)
Mrs. Magdalene Krabes passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Oct. 21, 1956, at 3:15 in the afternoon. She had been admitted on Saturday after suffering a severe heart attack at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Greschner.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. John (Adele) Greschner of Withee; Mary (Mrs. Kurbel) of Germany and Ann (Mrs. Greschner) of Germany, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Krabes was born on Sept. 28, 1868 in Austria. She was united in marriage in 1890 to Stephen Krabes. Her husband passed away in 1916 and she came to the United States in 1920 with her daughter, Adele, with whom she has since made her home. She was noted for her cheerful disposition and wonderful health, as she was active until her last year. She had attained the age of 88 years and 23 days.
Services were held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, at nine o’clock Wednesday morning, the 24th of October with Father Crubel officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Joe Hiebsch, Ed Sluzewski, Wm. Warns, Joe Seufzer, Joe Micke and Malcolm Capes.
