Dickinson, D. (Long-time Democrat -
1913)
D. Dickinson organized the democratic party in Neillsville right after he was born, or possibly a few years later, but at any rate he has been a democrat when others were mere pretenders. During all the years of his faithful allegiance to his adopted party he labored without honor and without pay. He has been visiting in Washington for some time and his folks decided that he would not miss the opportunity to see a democrat inaugurated president and thought nothing at his brief silence in the matter of correspondence. They were truly dumbfounded, however, to get a letter from him saying that he had left last week for Mudiavia, Ind., to take mud baths. Now what do you think of that kind of democrat who would pass Wilson’s inauguration up in order to go to Indiana to get mud smeared all over him.
