Ernestina Marth, wife of John Marth, died at their home on State street last Friday and was buried Monday afternoon.  Deceased was born Minnie Abraham in Publat, Germany, and was aged 85 years and 5 months.  She was united in marriage to John Marth in 1860 and in 1874 they came to the United States, settling at West Bend.  In 1876 they came to Clark county and located on a farm in Pine Valley where they lived for 40 years.  Thirteen years ago they gave up the active duties of life and came to Neillsville to live.  Mrs. Marth was a kind, Christian lady and lived a life which was a pleasure to herself and a comfort to those with whom she came in contact.  She had been a resident of the county for many years and during which time she came to know many people and retain their friendships.  She is survived by her husband and four children.  The children are: Henry Marth of this city, Mrs. John Weiting and Mrs. Marg of Pine Valley and Mrs. Herman Ulrich of Lentz, Oregon.  Interment was made in the Mound cemetery and services were conducted by Rev. Brandt.
