Bruckschlager, Elsie E. (7 JAN 1889 - 10 NOV 1956)
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Ed Bruckschlager, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Tuesday, Nov. 13. She passed away quietly early Saturday morning at her home northwest of Withee. Mrs. Bruckschlager had been in poor health following a stroke, which she suffered several years ago.
Rev. Clayton Nielsen officiated at the rites.
Elsie Emily Bruckschlager, nee Bruchert, was born at Glenwood City, Wis., Jan. 7, 1889, to the late August and Albertine Bruchert. At the age of three years, she moved with her parents to a farm three miles northwest of Withee and lived in that community until her death. She being 67 years, 10 months and 3 days of age at the time of her passing away.
On June 24, 1918, she was united in marriage to Edward Bruckschlager and the couple lived on the farm which is now their present home.
Mrs. Bruckschlager is survived by her husband and three sons, Lester and Harry at home, and Walter of Eau Claire, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Steager of Withee. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight sisters and brothers, three of whom died in infancy.
Serving as pallbearers at the service were Peter Steager, E. C. Olds, Harry Gustafson, Vic Nielsen, Lionel Thirbert and Walter Hiedeman. In charge of floral offerings were Mesdames Peter Steager, E. C. Olds, Vic Nielsen, Harry Gustafson and Miss Dorothy Nielsen.
Interment was made at Riverside Cemetery.
