Watson, Arvid (22 APR 1905 - 15 NOV 1956)
Arvid Watson, 51, a former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, succumbed to a heart attack which he suffered at the home of his sister, Mrs. Tony Miletich of North Chicago, Ill., with whom he had made his home for the past twelve years.
The fatal attack occurred a week ago today, Nov. 15th, 1956.
Funeral services were conducted at one-thirty Monday afternoon from Griebenow Funeral Home with Rev. John Saarinen, pastor of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Owen, officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.
Acting as pallbearers were Arvid Sormunen, Tovio Rhinninen, Bill Maki, Junior Hoffenbragen, Laurence Watson and Mike Shereda. In charge of the floral offerings were Mrs. Elsie Potocnik, Mrs. Dan Arola, Mrs. Bill Maki, Mrs. Henry Cass and Mrs. Sol Laakso.
The deceased was born April 22, 1905 at Crystal Falls, Mich. As a youth he came to this community where he attended the Hoard Center grade School and the Owen High School. Of late years he had made his home in North Chicago.
Mourning his passing, in addition to his sister Mrs. Tony Miletich, are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Watson Owen; another sister, Mrs. Lillian Huggard, Springfield, Missouri, and a brother, Eaner of Abbotsford, and a wife circle of friends.
