Madea, Anneliese (16 DEC 1956)
The Seventh Day Adventist Church, Withee, was the scene of a lovely wedding service on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 16, 1956, at two o’clock, when Anneliese Madea of Munich, Germany, became the bride of Warren Gene Hamel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Courtland Hamel of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).
For her wedding the bride wore a white satin with lace and net floor length dress with fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of red roses. Her attendant, Mrs. Henry Gargano of Chicago wore a yellow taffeta with net overskirt dress, with a headdress of yellow mums and also carried a bouquet of roses.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother Donald of Chicago.
Miss Mera Peissig of Milwaukee sang "Because," "Calm as the Night," and "The Wedding Prayer." She was accompanied by Mrs. L. H. Munson of Withee.
Ushering were Don Hamel, cousin of the groom, and Joe Przewsnik of Thorp.
Pastor Roy G. Fall of Arpin performed the ceremony.
After the service a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents.
After a wedding trip during the holidays they young couple will make their home at 559 S. Harrison, Lancaster, Wis.
