Cizik, Jacob (1881 - 25 DEC 1956)

 

Jacob Cizik, a resident of this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) for 69 years prior to moving to Wauwatosa, Wis. six years ago, passed away in that city on Christmas Day, succumbing to a lingering illness.

 

Previous to moving to Wauwatosa the deceased resided on a farm in the Town of Hixon since coming to this community May 25, 1881.

 

Funeral services were conducted at two o’clock from the Schmitt and Bartelt Funeral Home in Milwaukee with Rev. Eggers officiating.  Services were then conducted from St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, at two o’clock, Dec. 28th, with Rev. Theo. Predoehl officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

 

Serving as pallbearers were Julius Cizik, Adolph Cizik, Ernest Cizik, Louis Klabon and Fred Flader.

 

On July 16 1910 he was united in marriage to Augusta Schultz in a ceremony performed at Chicago, Ill.

 

His passing is mourned by a son, Arthur A. Cizik, Chicago, Ill., three daughters, Mrs. Charles Leuth, Sanforth, Florida; Mrs. Fred W. North, Elmwood Park, Ill., and Mrs. Edgar E. Rhea, Canadian, Texas, and nine grandchildren.
