Dusso, Karen G. (30 APR 1939 - 24 MAY 2010)

Karen Gail Dusso, age 71, of Stevens Point, formerly of Berlin and Omro, died suddenly and peacefully on Monday evening, May 24, 2010 at the North Ridge Assisted Living of Stevens Point.

She was born on April 30, 1939 in Wittenberg, WI, the daughter of the late Marie (Bernarde) Polenska. She was a graduate of the Waupun High School class of 1957 and a graduate of the Moraine Park Technical College with a degree as a Nursing Assistant. She married Kenneth Donald Dusso on June 21, 1958 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Waupun, and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2001.

She is a member of the All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin and a longtime former member of the Saint Mary's Catholic Church of Omro. Karen was employed for over ten years at the Juliette Manor Nursing Home in Berlin as a Nursing Assistant and also worked on and loved to be part of the family farm, first in Omro and then in Berlin. She was always very proud of her dairy herds, as formerly she was always a city girl. She loved volunteering at church and also at the Winnebago and Waushara County Fair's. She is a member of the Farm Bureau. She loved all animals but especially horses and dogs.

The one thing she loved the most was her children and grandchildren and will be forever missed by them all. Karen is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine (Douglas) Lloyd of Pickett, WI, Kristine (Timothy) Seiter of Plover, WI; one son, Kenneth J. Dusso of Winneconne; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Lisa), Melinda and Jordan Lloyd, Adam and Justine Dusso and Maximillian and Nicole Seiter; also two great-grandchildren, McKenna and Jaxen Lloyd. Karen is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law that were close to her and also other relatives and many friends. Karen was preceded in death by her mother, husband, and one great-grand-daughter, Rylee Lloyd.

Funeral services with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating.

A luncheon will immediately follow the Mass back at the Funeral Home Family Center

Graveside services will then be held at 4 p.m. on Friday May 28, 2010 at the Greenwood Cemetery in the City of Greenwood, Clark County, WI, beside her husband.

Relatives and friends may call at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin on Friday only from 8:30 to 10 a.m. before we leave for the services at the church.
