Raine, Maude (9 Apr 1913)
Last evening at 8:30 o’clock, the
marriage of Herbert Counsell and Miss Maude Raine occurred at the
home of the bride’s parents just east of the city. The
ceremony was solemnized by Rev. Prescott. The wedding was
witnessed by relatives and close friends of the couple. The
bride wore a gown of tan pongee and the bridal couple was attended
by Misses Ella Raine and Nina Counsell and Clyde Raine and Clarion
Counsell.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Counsell and one of the most pleasant and genial young men of this neighborhood. He is a farmer by vocation and has all the necessary qualifications to make his life’s work entirely successful. His bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Raine and is endowed with a winsomeness of manner and pleasing personality which cannot but react upon the happiness of the home over which she will preside. The young couple will take up housekeeping on the Julius Benedict farm which they have rented. The best wishes of the host of friends is cordially extended to them.
