Since the withdrawal of the Presbyterian young people from the Christian Endeavor society it has been felt that the young people of the Baptist church could do better in a Baptist Young Peoples’ Union. Accordingly a meeting was held Friday evening and a new society organized with the following officers and committees for the ensuing year:
President -- B.G. Packer
Vice President -- Chester Miller
Secretary -- Mrs. G.S. Barlow
Treasurer -- Myrtle Webb
Prayer Meeting Committee -- C.L. Frederick, M.M. Webb, Anna Rees
Lookout Committee -- Frank Norris, G.S. Barlow, Thos. Rees
Social Committee -- James Norris, Grace Oelig, Chas. Sheets
Music Committee -- Elsie Barlow, Naomi Carpenter, Carl Shoemaker
Flower Committee -- Vera Ferneau, Iva Wessenberg, Lida Carter
With a good set of officers and some aggressive work there is prospect of having a helpful young peoples’ society.
