Nosbisch, Pearl S. (Apfelbeck) (January
6, 1940 - May 19, 2010)
Pearl S. Nosbisch, 70, Colby, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, on May 19, 2010.
Pearl was born on Jan. 6, 1940, to Leo and Hildegard (Ohlinger)
Apfelbeck in the Town of Hull.
She graduated from Colby High School. She
worked for Nikolay, Jensen, Scott and Gamoke Lawyers from
graduation until her retirement in 2001 as a legal
secretary.
On June 15, 1963, she married the love of her life, Lavern Nosbisch. Pearl enjoyed cooking and music of all types, especially country, religious and classical, collecting knick knacks, reading and had a very strong faith in God. Father Malik of St. Mary’s Parish helped her through many trials in her later years. Pearl liked to tell childhood stories about her rural farm life with all her siblings, friends, relatives and school mates at Riverside School in Cherokee area, east of Colby, where the family farm was.
Pearl is lovingly survived by her husband of 47 years, Lavern
Nosbisch of Colby; her children, Daniel (Kris) Nosbisch of Colby,
and Catherine (Peter) Coppersmith of Peoria, Ill. She was the proud
grandma of Mitchell Nosbisch of Colby. She is further survived by
her siblings, John (Wanda) Apfelbeck of Peck Idaho, Mildred (Ray)
Juedes of Colby, Monica Biter of New Auburn, Leo Apfelbeck Jr. of
Chippewa Falls, and Genevieve (Alvin) Abegglen of
Stetsonville.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Francis Apfelbeck, Mary Butenschoen, Adeline Dahlke, Teresa Rindt, and Stella Dobner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby at 10:30 a.m. A
memorial gathering will be held on Saturday at the church from
9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s
Catholic Cemetery in Colby.
Any memorials in her name can be contributed to St. Mary’s
Church restoration project or Father Malik’s Endowment trust
to support students at St. Mary Elementary Grade School or to the
American Diabetes Association.
