Harold W. Dahl, 90, Loyal, died on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at the Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, May 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiated. Burial followed in the Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerad Bluem, Tamissa Bluuem, Nick Dahl, Breanna Dahl, Gerald Zettler, Dave Williams, Dallas Wuuethrich and Trent Miner.
 
Harold Wilhelm Dahl was born on May 26, 1919, in the town of Loyal, to George and Alma (nee Dux) Dahl. He was raised on the family farm in the town of York and received his education at Lincoln Grade School and Granton High School. He farmed with his parents until his marriage to Norma E. Herdrich on Oct. 16, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, by the Rev. John C. Langholz. They moved into Loyal in 1947, and he became a licensed buttermaker at John Wuethrich Creamery Company, now Grassland Dairy Products, Inc., for 37 ½ years. He retired from Grassland Dairy Products in 1985 and then worked part time at Fleet Farm, Marshfield, until 2004.
 
He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as treasurer for two terms, was a member of the dartball team and adult fellowship, and served on the building committee for the church hall and the elevator addition project. He had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family and raising red potatoes and corn in his garden.
 
He will be dearly missed by his two children, Roger A. (Cheryl) Dahl, Chippewa Falls, and Anna L. (Thomas) Bluem, Buffalo City; four grandchildren, Breanna and Nicholas Dahl, and Jerod and Tamissa Bluem; one great grandson, Caden Jerome Rosman; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Zimmerman, Stratford, and Veryl (Richard) Holmes, Wausau; two brothers –in-law, Harold (Janice) Herdrich, Ashland, Ore., and Robert (Dorothy) Herdrich, Eau Claire; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
 
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Norma, on April 30, 2009, and one sister, Doris Williams, on Jan. 7, 2004.
 
His family asks that memorials be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.
