Wehe, Mildred (28 SEPT 1927 - 25 APRIL 2010)
Mildred M. "Millie" Wehe, 82, Loyal, died on Sunday, April 25,
2010, at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m.,
on Tuesday, May 4, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.
The Rev. Jerome Naduvathaniyil officiated. Burial followed in St.
Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery.
Mildred Marie Wehe was born on Sept. 28, 1927, in Rozellville, to
Peter and Rose (nee Andres) Weigel. She was raised on the family
farm and received her education in the Rozellville area, After
completing her education, she worked as a housekeeper in Sheboygan
for a short time, and then moved back home and worked at
Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Marshfield. She married Jerome L. Wehe on
May 9, 1951, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rozellville.
They farmed south of Loyal until retiring on April 1, 1989. They
sold their farm and moved into Loyal.
She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the
Loyal American Legion Auxiliary. She had many interests, but
especially loved knitting, gardening, bowling and sewing.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Jerome, Loyal; one
daughter, Dorothy (Brion) Nesbit, Madison; one son, Dennis Wehe,
Rice Lake; three grandchildren, Andrea (Tim) Bohn, Lyndsay (Mike)
Kopping, and Nathan Wehe; two great-grandchildren, Devin Bohn and
Kaelynn Kopping; one brother, Peter (Sarah) Weigel, Stratford; one
sister, Rose (Robert) Kaas, Marshfield; nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Alois Weigel
and Clarence Weigel; and three sisters, Sally Martin, Evelyn hill
and Lena Sterzinger.
