Karau, Joanne (21 FEB 1948)
On Saturday evening, Feb. 21, Miss Joanne Jeanine Karau, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Karau of Spencer, and Antone Loppnow of Loyal
exchanged marriage vows at Trinity First Lutheran church in
Minneapolis, Minn., with the Rev. A. G. Fehner officiating. The
groom is a step-son of William Deuermeyer of Loyal.
The bride chose a powder blue crepe gown, with white accessories,
and carried a colonial bouquet of white camellias and
hyacinths.
Mrs. Donald Nothwehr, a former classmate of the bride, was matron
of honor and wore a gown of brown and white, with brown
accessories. Her colonial bouquet was of talisman roses and white
hyacinths, backed with burnt orange maline. Mr. Nothwehr acted as
best man.
During the ceremony, Mrs. James Hume of Spring Lake, Mich., sang "O
Perfect Love."
A buffet luncheon was served by the parents of the bride at the
Zimmerman apartment, 2853 South 35th avenue, Minneapolis, following
the ceremony.
Mrs. Loppnow is a member of the graduating class of the Minneapolis
Northwest school of Medical Technology. The groom is a graduate of
the Loyal high school. With the class of 1945
Mr. and Mrs. Loppnow will reside in Minneapolis, where the groom is
now employed.
To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its heartiest
congratulations and best wishes for the future.
