Galarowicz, Robert (10 DEC 1900 - 16 FEB 1957)

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin for Robert Galarowicz, 56, of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who died early Saturday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, after a long illness.

Father Eugene Knopka officiated at the Solemn Requiem High Mass.  Interment took place in the parish cemetery.  The Thorp Funeral Home had charge of the funeral arrangements.  Active pallbearers were Casey Grucelski, Charles Kovatch, Eddie Galarowicz, William Swinarski, Joe Pancyz and John Gajda.

Mrs. Galarowicz was born Dec. 10, 1900, in Uniontown, Pa., raised in Goetzville, Mich. And later moved to Chicago, Ill., where he married Anna Galarowicz on Nov. 20, 1921.  He moved his family to this community in May 1944.

Surviving are his wife Anna, two daughters, Mrs. Irene Majka of Chicago, Ill., and Dorothy at home; two sons, Robert Jr. of Chicago, Ill., and Leonard of Withee; two daughters-in-law, Eleanor and Helen; seven grandchildren; a sister and two brothers.

Coming from out of town to attend the final rites were Mr. Paul Janik, Mrs. Chester Swider and Mrs. Mary Majka, all of Chicago.
