Peissig, William #2 (14 SEP 1906 - 20 FEB 1957)
William Peissig passed away at the Wis. General Hospital at Madison on Feb. 20, 1957, after a short illness. His death was attributed to a heart disease.
He was born at Little Black in Taylor County on Sept. 14, 1906 and received his education there. He was married in 1932 to Martha Boxrucker at Dorchester. They lived there until 1937 when they moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where they made their home until 1947 when they moved to the Owen-Withee area, being employed as a carpenter.
He leaves to mourn, his wife, Martha, two sons, Duane and Dale and two daughters, Barbara and Diane. One daughter, Louella, passed away at 11 months of age.
He is survived by his brothers, Ed Peissig of Beloit, Oscar of Stetsonville and two sisters, Mrs. Chris (Hattie) Brunner of Holway and Mrs. George (Lucy) Obenberger of Fifield. One sister, Bertha (Mrs. Ludwig) preceded him in death three years ago.
Services were conducted at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 10 o’clock by Rev. Father H. Crubel. Interment was made at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Harold Ludwig, Galen Brunner, Ken Peissig, Robert Gilbertson, Ronnie Decker and Merlin Obenberger. In charge of floral offerings were Janice Hennlich, Dorothy Ann Hennlich and Donna Decker.
