Utke, Emilie (22 SEP 1870 - 21 APR 1957)
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Albert Utke Wednesday at two o’clock at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home with Rev. T. C. Predoehl officiating. Pallbearers were Elmer Gustafson, Fred Thess, Julius Johnson, Ervin Jacobi, Harold and Arlen Utke. In charge of flowers were Ellen and Isabel Jacobi. The hymns were sung by Mrs. Albert Petke and Mrs. Pierce Owen, Sr., and they were accompanied by Mrs. Dorothy Rabska at the organ.
Mrs. Albert Utke passed away Sunday evening at the Havenet Nursing Home. She had reached te age of 86 years and 7 months. She was born in Hanover, Wis. on Sept. 22, 1870. She was united in marriage to Albert Utke on Nov. 8, 1904 in Rock Island, Ill. In the year of 1912, the Utke’s moved to this area and were engaged in farming. Upon their retirement in 1938 they have made their home in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).
She is survived by her husband, Albert, one son, LeRoy of Curtiss, 2 grandsons, Arlen and Harold of Curtiss, and a sister, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Flint of Hanover, Wis.
A son, Albert, preceded her in death in 1918.
