Kozikowski, Edward Adam (9 November 1920 - 27 May 2010) 
 

Edward A. Kozikowski, age 89, of Thorp, passed away at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, in Stanley, on Thursday, May 27, 2010.  
 

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp.  Rev. Keith Apfelbeck officiated and burial followed in New St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation was held at the church, on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until time of service. 
 

Edward Adam Kozikowski was born on November 9, 1920, in Lublin, WI, the son of Michael and Veronica (Swistak) Kozikowski.  When he was a young boy, his family moved to a farm northeast of Thorp, where Ed was raised and received his education.  He remained on the farm with his parents, and eventually took over its daily operation.  Ed farmed until 1980, and then moved into Thorp and worked for the City of Thorp for several years.  After his retirement, he enjoyed repairing lawnmowers and small engines, and helping others. 
 

He as a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Queen of Peace Council #4634. 
 

Ed is survived by one sister, Nellie Kozikowski, of Thorp; one brother, Alex Kozikowski of King, WI; 13 nieces and nephews, 30 great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.   
 

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Steve, Walter, Peter, Paul, Frank, John; and two sisters: Julia Kozikowski and Josephine Spiewak.
