Patricia Ann Wilson and Navy Ens. Jerry Edward Ross, who received their bachelor degrees from the University of Rochester on Sunday, June 9th, were married the following morning at 11 o’clock at St. John the Evangelist Church. The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Z. Wilson, former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) residents, now of DeMallie St., Rochester, while the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward W. Ross, also of Rochester.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white silk taffeta gown trimmed with jeweled lace. A dainty headdress of net flowers confined her illusion veil and she carried a bouquet of white roses, centered with an orchid.
Mrs. Norbert Pabich, Owen, the bride’s only attendant, wore a pink crystalette gown and carried an old fashioned bouquet of pink blooms. Harry P. Ruske Jr. was best man.
After a wedding breakfast at Crescent Beach Hotel, for the families and a few close relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ross left on a trip to the Adirondacks. They will go to Norfolk, Va., June 20, where the bridegroom will be stationed. He was commissioned in the Navy on Sunday. The bride was a member of Theta Eta sorority at the UR. She also has studied at the University of Wisconsin, where she belonged to Kappa Alpha Theta.
Driving east to attend the graduation and wedding ceremonies in addition to Mrs. Pabich were her husband, Mrs. Ross’ grandfather, W. J. Mahoney, and her aunt, Mrs. Emery Erickson and daughter Karen.
