Holtz, Wilhelmina (25 Nov 1837 - 27 Apr 1913)
Mrs. Wilhelmina Holtz died Sunday evening at the home of her son, Herman, in this city. She was born in Germany on Nov. 25, 1837, and was united in marriage to Julius Holtz in 1858. They came to this country July 22, 1886, locating at Janesville, later moving to Washburn. On Dec. 25, 1896, Mr. Holtz died and since that time his widow made her home with her son, Herman, coming to this city 11 years ago. Deceased is survived by seven children: Gus of town Grant, August of Mauschara county, Ferdinand of Oshkosh, Herman of Neillsville, Mrs. Martha Goelthus of Defiance, Ohio, and Mrs. Hrueger and Wm. Holtz, who still reside in Germany.
Deceased was a lady of kindly disposition and pleasant attainments and was universally respected by all her acquaintances. She was a member of the German Reformed church. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Schmidt of the German Reformed church conducting service at the Presbyterian church.
