Schofield, H.B. (Promotion - 29 May 1913)
It is a very noticeable circumstance that former principals of Neillsville High School are unusually successful in securing excellent positions, a circumstance which speaks well for the city schools. L.W. Wood now has a most excellent position with a large school book publishing company, H.B. Schofield was last week elevated to the superintendency of the Central High School at St. Paul with a salary of $3,000 per year, G.M. Snodgrass has again accepted the superintendency of the Oconto schools for a three years contract with salary of $1800, $1900, and $2000. H.C. Almy goes to River Falls next year to take the principalship of the River Falls schools and will also have a position on the faculty of the River Falls Normal in connection with his high school work. Verily, the Neillsville schools seem to be a veritable training school for high school principals who go out to larger and better positions.
