Marden, Ben (? - 14 Mar 1913)
The remains of Ben Marden were found last Sunday afternoon in the river below Prairie du Sac, about a half a mile below the point at which he was drowned. The body was taken from the river and was sent here by express Monday. Ben was drowned on March 14th last while he was attempting to rescue a fellow workman. The body was brought here by one of the dam construction company men, who stated that it was thought that the body had been caught in the bottom of the river in some manner which accounted for it not coming to the surface sooner.
Ben Marden was laid to rest in Neillsville Cemetery yesterday afternoon.
