Poler, Robert Eugene (10 August 1925 - 5 June
2010)
Robert Eugene Poler, 84, passed away Saturday, June
5, 2010, in Neillsville.
Robert was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Neillsville to
William and Madaline Poler. He was employed at Neillsville
Milk Products and Wisconsin Electric in Milwaukee. Robert loved and
lived for any outdoor activity, especially his hunting with many
trips to Montana, Wyoming and Canada. He also was an
excellent artist, creating many paintings of his home and hobbies,
as well as a self-made craftsman making unique furniture. He
had been a member of Blue Masonic Lodge and
Tripoli.
Robert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda (Ferguson) Poler; three sons, Darwin, Essex, MD, Glenn (Jan), Fond
du Lac, and Clay (LuAnn), Wisconsin Rapids; 12 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one
brother, Charles (Jigs) Poler; and five sisters, Helen Kapfer, Lois
Matthews, Ardis Sherwood, Ethel Henne and Hazel St. John; and one
daughter-in-law, Patricia Poler.
The Wisconsin Cremation Society of Eau Claire is
handling arrangements.
There will be a memorial at a later date.
