Cegielnik, Lorraine (10 AUG 1957)

Miss Lorraine Cegielnik, Minneapolis, daughter of Mrs. Bernice Cegielnik, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Harold Thronson on Saturday, Aug. 10th, 1957 at the Visitation Rectory, with Father Albert reading the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a street length gown fashioned in silk chiffon in French blue.  The fitted bodice had a Sabrina neckline with short cape sleeves and a very full skirt.  Her hat and shoes were of the same color as the dress.  She carried a bouquet of yellow roses circling a white orchid.

The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Ray Paul.  Her gown was styled in silk shantung in salmon pink with short cap sleeves and a scoop neckline.  Her hat and shoes were of the same colors as the dress.  Her bouquet was of tiny rosebuds and pompoms.

The groom’s brother, Roger Thronson, Minneapolis, performed the duties of best man.

Immediately after the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home.  A dinner for the immediate families was held at Charles where the tables were decorated in wedding attire.  A beautiful wedding cake was baked and decorated in the kitchen of the Radisson Hotel where Mrs. Thronson worked and Mr. Thronson is still employed.

For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Cegielnik chose a sheer dress of blue and grey print with white accessories.  The groom’s mother chose a dress in aqua blue with black accessories.  Both mothers wore orchid corsages.

The young couple will make their home in Minneapolis.
