Tillman, Hanna #2 (30 SEP 1880 - 10 SEP 1957)
Services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home for Mrs. Hanna Tillman, 76, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), who died at her home Tuesday morning after a lingering illness. The Rev. Ralph D. Claybaugh will officiate at the rites and burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
During the service a vocal selection as sung by Mrs. Don Marshall with Mrs. Tovio Kalio accompanying at the organ.
Serving as pallbearers were Wm. Nirva, Henry Cass, Frank Cline, Jack Niemi, James Hallowell and Frank Schwanke.
In charge of the floral offerings were Ina Hahto, Leona Nirva, Margaret Loetscher, Alaire Hallowell, Martha Niemi, and Lenay Anderson.
The former Hanna Granstrom was born in Nyborg, Sweden, Sept. 30, 1880, and was married there in 1898 to Gust Piekola, who preceded her in death in June 1949. They came to this country in 1904 and settled in Ely, Minn. In 1914 they moved to the town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.) farm now operated by their son Ted Piekola, and in 1948 moved to Owen. Her second marriage to Peter Tillman took place in 1953 at Iron River. He survives her.
Other survivors are three children, Ted, whose address is Loyal; Mrs. Adolph (Jennie) Brecker, Owen, and Mrs. William (Clara) Davel, Loyal; two brothers, Fred Granstrom, Seattle, Wash., and Hjalmer Granstrom of Sweden; one grandson, Owen Brecker, Key West, Fla.; and two stepchildren, Paul Tillman, El Monte, Calif., and Mrs. Russell (Myrtle) Rowley, Orr, Minn.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by two children.
