Rand, Alta (23 Jun 1913)
Monday evening a pretty home wedding occurred in the home of Mrs. Mattie Rand, when Rev. Henderson united her daughter, Miss Alta in marriage with Alfred L. DeVos. The ceremony was witnessed by relatives and close friends of the couple. The bridal couple was attended by Paris Rand and Miss Zura Ficke. The bride wore peach crepe de meteor. A supper was served after the ceremony and Mr. and Mrs. DeVos left on the midnight train for a brief wedding trip to Milwaukee, after which they will return here and take up their residence.
Mrs. DeVos is an especially pleasant and amiable young lady and is highly esteemed by all who know her. For several months she has been employed in the office of register of deeds where she has proved a capable and efficient assistant. Mr. DeVos is the junior member of the law firm of Marsh and DeVos. He came here from Milwaukee and during his residence here has impressed all with his evident sincerity and integrity.
