Wegner, Anna (18 Jun 1913)
Last Wednesday evening the marriage of Everett Raine and Miss Anna Wegner was solemnized by Rev. Prescott at the home of the bride’s parents northwest of the city. The bridal couple was attended by Clyde Raine and Thorton Milton and Helen and Clara Wegner. The bride wore white shadow lace over white messaline and carried white roses. The ceremony was performed under a wedding bell of ferns. The Wegner home was beautifully decorated for the occasion, the colors predominantly being pink and white. Mrs. James Shummell played the wedding march. A wedding supper was served to the large number of guests at the conclusion of the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wegner and is a most estimable and winsome young lady. For the past couple of years she has been a valuable employee in the dry goods department of the Big store. She is fitted with all the qualities which go to make up an ideal wife and in addition her pleasant disposition has endeared her in the hearts of all who knew her. Mr. Raine is one of the most sterling young men in the locality for he is industrious and energetic, reliable and honest. For some he has held a position on a large farm at Cuba and he and his bride will go there this week to take up housekeeping.
