Lindberg, Andrew (January 1, 1986 - May 21, 2010)

Andrew "Andy" Lindberg, 24, of River Falls, formerly of Sparta, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010, in Ellsworth, as a result of an automobile accident.

Andy was born January 1, 1986 to Kerry and Sharon (Graffunder) Lindberg, who delivered him at home.

He attended Tarr Valley School outside of Tomah, through the ninth grade. In 2004, Andy graduated from Sparta High School and went on to pursue a degree in sound engineering in Madison.

In 2007, he began his career as a sound engineer and then started his own business, 3rd Shift Productions.

On June 3, 2006, Andy was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart Kimberly "Kimi" Shriver in Madison.

Andy loved music ever since he was a very young child. He picked up a guitar for the first time on a mission trip to New York when he was 13 years old. From that point on, whenever you saw Andy, you saw his guitar. Not only could he play guitar, but once he got started in the music world he could pick up any instrument and play it with little effort. During high school he was involved with every musical opportunity available. After high school he went on to further his career in music at the Madison Media Institute in Madison. His passion was making music sound the best that he could. He started his own business, and lived his dream as a Freelance Producer and Engineer in the Minneapolis, Minn., area. Some of the artists he worked with were: Neal McCoy, Bo Bice, Days of the New, FireHouse, Tripping Icarus, L.A. Guns, Alison Scott and many others. Andy had a sweet and gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew him and worked with him.

Andy is survived by his wife, Kimi (Shriver) Lindberg of River Falls; his mother, Sharon Minett of Tomah; his father, Kerry (Jeannie) Lindberg of Sparta; three brothers, Chris (Heidi) Lindberg of Duluth, Minn., Josh Lindberg of La Crosse, and Mitchell Minett of Tomah; one sister, Melissa (Tim) Carroll of Tomah; his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Ruth Graffunder of Abbotsford, and paternal grandparents, John and Jean Lindberg of Abbotsford; along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home, 2224 S. Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Michael Tuionetoa officiated.  Burial was held at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, Dorchester, Wisconsin on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 3 p.m.
