Mohr, Mary Anna (2 September 1889 - 12 May 1971)

 

Mohr Service to Be on Saturday

 

Neillsville - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary Anna Mohr, 81, route 2, Neillsville, who died at Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning.  The Rev. D. E. Sprague, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, will officiate and burial will take place in the Neillsville City Cemetery.  Friends may call beginning Friday morning, at the funeral home.

 

Mrs. Mohr, the former Mary Anna Gehrt, daughter of Herman and Emelia (Krueger) Gehrt, was born Sept. 2, 1889, in Berlin, Germany and came to this country at the age of one.  She received her education here at Silver Crest School and was married on Nov. 26, 1913, at Neillsville, to Christian Mohr.  They operated a farm in the Town of Pine Valley.

 

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Agnes) Hermeling, Wood River, Ill.; two sons, Ernest and Albert (Luella), both of Route 2, Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Art (Elsie) Berger, Neillsville and Mrs. Charles (Emma) Marden, Neillsville; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, by one sister, Martha Gehrt and by two brothers, Otto and Willie Gehrt.
