Ristola, Eino #2 (6 JAN 1912 - 29 OCT 1957)
Eino Ristola passed away at the Marshfield Hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1957, at 10 o’clock in the evening, after an illness of five weeks. He was born in Ishpeming, Mich., on Jan. 6, 1912. He came to this vicinity (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) with his parents at the age of two and has resided here since. He was united in marriage to Bernice Kennow in Iowa on March 29, 1939. He has been a mechanic during his lifetime, having been employed in several garages and then having his own shop.
Funeral services were conducted at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Owen on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1:30 o’clock in the afternoon with Rev. John Saarinen officiating. Mrs. Saarinen furnished the music. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Vaitto Mutka, Arno Vater, Orlando Olson, Vaitto Riihenem, Nels Nielsen and Toivo Kangas. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Ray Slock, Mrs. Ed Engel, Mrs. Dan Anderson and Mrs. Harry Hansen.
Mr. Ristola is survived by his wife, four children, Eino Jr. 17, David 15, Carolyn 13, and Susan 4, his mother, Mrs. Gunilla Ristola, Withee, two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Ina) Hall of Savanna, Ill., and Anna of Withee, two brothers, Waino Ristola of Withee, and Eugene Ristola of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, Nestor Ristola, in September 1952.
Attending the funeral were the following: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hall of Savanna, Ill., Eugene Ristola of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Robert Kennow of Brownsville, Ore.; Leslie Kennow of Detroit, Mich.; Sadie Kennow of Akron, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Kennow of Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Kennow and family of Edgar; Fred Kennow, Mr. and Mrs. Neal Kennow, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Kennow, Mrs. William Champeau and daughter, Judith, Mr. and Mrs. Durward Batey and daughters, Nonna and Dorothy, all of Milwaukee.
