Lavene, Alice (07 NOV 1925 - 11 JUNE 2010 )

 

Alice E. Lavene, 84, Neillsville, died on Friday, June 11, 2010, at Neillsville Care & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held at noon on Tuesday, June 15, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christie. The Rev. John Warmuth officiated. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Pachal, Milton Pachal, Marlene English, Rosalee Hall, Lee Bender and Daryl Herman.

 

Alice E; Pachal was born on Nov. 7, 1925, in the town of Beaver, to Joseph and Agnes (nee Roadt) Pachal. She graduated from Loyal High School in 1943. She married Alvin on Jan. 6, 1946, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Marshfield. She farmed with her husband on Sheldon Rest Farm and was a homemaker. She resided at Neillsville Care & Rehabilitation Center since Dec. 18, 2009. Her faith was important to her. She was baptized on July 25, 1926, at Owen, and confirmed on Sept. 17, 1939, at Riplinger. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christie, since 1946, and was a member of its Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Good Neighbors Homemakers Club since 1957 and the National Farmer’s Organization since 1962.

 

Survivors include three children, Gary Lavene, Neillsville, Rick (Susan Butterfield) Lavene, Neillsville, and Bonnie (Roger) Bender, Loyal; six grandchildren, Lee Bender, Lori Zais, Lynette Johnson, Lychelle Tellock, Brody Lavene and Breanna Lavene; six great-grandchildren, Heather Zais, Brady Zais, Taylor Johnson, Devin Johnson, Natasha Tellock and Sheila Tellock; three step-great-grandchildren, Jason Johnson and Brittany Zoellick; three step-grandchildren, Jessica Herrick, Jonathon Butterfield and Jennifer Butterfield; and three step great-grandchildren, Meikendra, Scotlynn and Allison.

 

Preceding her in death were her husband, Alvin; a sister, Adela Goutcher; and two brothers, Frank Pachal and Louie Pachal.

 

Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
