Lucht, Carl (10 SEPT 1859 - 25 MAY 1948)
Funeral services for Carl F. Lucht, 88, who died at his home in Spokeville on Tuesday May 25, were conducted at 2 p.m. last Friday in Trinity Lutheran church, with the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating.
Mr. Lucht was born in Germany on Sept. 10, 1859, and came to the United States when 22 years old, settling in Braddock, Pa., where he had employment in a steel mill for seven years. He was married to Miss Emilie Iwan in that city on Sept. 20, 1882.
The family came to Athens 55 years ago and 19 years ago moved to Spokeville, where they have resided since. Mr. Lucht was a member of the Spokeville school board for eight years and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church here.
Surviving besides his wife, are the following children: Mrs. Alfred (Alvina) Oestrich, Charles Lucht and Mrs. Gust (Elizabeth) Voight of Loyal, Mrs. William (Theresa) Fisher and Arthur Lucht of Spencer, and Mrs. Ed (Martha) Zuehlke of Oshkosh. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded him in death.
The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved relative.
