Meinhardt, Mary (17 DEC 1896 - 16 JAN 1956)

Friends and relatives of Mrs. Mary Meinhardt, 59, were saddened when they learned of her death Monday of this week.  She had suffered an acute heart attack about three weeks ago when she was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she was cared for until Thursday of last week, when she was dismissed.

From then until the time of her death she had been staying at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Petke, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock tomorrow afternoon, Friday, Jan. 20, from St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee.  Serving as pallbearers will be Ray, Ted, Art and Walter Petke, Norman Meinhardt and Julius Rohland.

Mrs. Meinhardt was born Dec. 17, 1896, in Chicago.  Her husband preceded her in death, passing away in 1948.  Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Eleanore) Petke and Mrs. Arthur (Alice) Petke, Withee; two sons, Rev. Arthur Meinhardt, Des Moines, Ia., and Franklin, serving with the U.S. Navy.
