Miss Edith Erickson has been at her home in Elroy, having been called there by the death of her grandfather returned home Saturday.
Miss Mabel Campbell went to Ashland, Monday afternoon, as a delegate from the local Women’s Club to the Federation Women’s Club, which meets in that city Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Mrs. Charles R. Van Hise, of Madison, and Misses Julia and Lena Horton, of Junction City, Kansas, visited the Ring Brothers and their families a few days the past week. They returned to Madison Monday.
Senator Levi Withee of La Crosse was in the city Saturday, a hale and hearty man, affectionately called "Tom" by his friends all over the state. He was on his way to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law, Mr. Varney, at Greenwood.
George Huntzicker and Ernest O’Neill took a western trip, having left here Sunday morning, and will land in the region of The Dalles, Oregon, where both have timber claims. They will undoubtedly remain in that section for some time.
Harry Bryden has arranged to take charge of a bank at Rib Lake, and has resigned his post at the Commercial State Bank here for that purpose. Harry will be right in the midst of the happy deer hunting grounds up there, and will keep his gun handy.
Dr. G. E. Curtis arrived in the city yesterday, and rented the R. M. Campbell house, and will locate here as a practicing physician. His wife and family will be here today from Granton, where they stopped off to visit a day or two before coming on here. The doctor has been at London, England, since he left here last spring, where his family was residing previously. The doctor had a prosperous practice at Granton and here before he left to get the family.
