F. T. Tucker was up from Milwaukee Tuesday to vote.
Donald J. McMillan returned to Chicago Monday night.
Mesdames Tom Lowe and Fred Whitcomb went to St. Paul Monday on a pleasure trip.
Dan Higgens received a dispatch Tuesday that his wife was very ill and he left at noon for Janesville.
Fremont Berge arrived here from Denver, Col., Monday and may remain here or in the logging woods for the winter.
John Huntley returned home Monday from Crescent City, Cal., and vicinity, where he has been for some six months.
Miss Nellie Ouimette, a sister of Mrs. R. G. Taylor, accompanied her from Abbotsford last week and will remain a few weeks.
Henry Myers returned home Monday morning from Oregon, where he has proved up on as fine a timber claim as any in the west.
A note from Orville A. Stevens, at Montavilla, in Oregon, ordering the Times, indicates that he is alive and well in that promising land.
Mrs. D. Kennedy and daughter Gertrude, and Mrs. Geo. L. Montage, visited Mrs. Julius Sontag at Altoona Saturday and Sunday, also visiting Eau Claire.
C. A. Youmans returned Tuesday from Florida, in plenty of time to vote. He added 14,000 acres of timber lands to the holdings of his company while in Florida.
Maudie Cook started for North Fork, N. D. Saturday evening to spend a few months with her cousin, who is in the printing business at that place. She will assist him in the office.
Mrs. Brisbois of Wausau, sister of John Paulus, has been here the past week on account of his dangerous illness. Dan Higgins was also up from Janesville, where he is a clerk of the Myer House.
Mr. Bolger of Waterloo, Wis., who bought the Ed. Montgomery farm, came up last week to take possession, and temporarily both families will live in the commodious house on the place.
Mrs. Geo. Campbell left Neillsville last week for Milwaukee where she will be joined by her two daughters.
