Funeral services for Dena Anderson, 91, were held at 1:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, Feb. 1, from the Lutheran Church at Longwood with Rev. Egge, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Anderson passed away suffering from afflictions of old age on Sunday, Jan. 29, 1956, at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, where she had been under medical care for a week. Prior to going to the hospital she had been a resident of the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.0, for almost a year.
During the funeral service musical numbers were sung by Walter Needham, soloist, and Oscar Anderson, Art Anderson, John Erickmoen, Leonard Kivviko, Jule Bredenson and Charles Pribbernow, served as pallbearers.
The deceased was born July 26, 1854 (must be 1864), in Finland and came to America in 1904. In 1907 she was united in marriage to Andrew Anderson in a ceremony performed at the Danish Lutheran Church, Withee. The couple made their home on a farm in the town of Longwood (Clark Co.) until his death in 1948.
Survivors include three stepsons, Alfred Anderson of Withee; Carl Anderson living in Minnesota and Louis Anderson, who is a resident of the state of California.
