Braun, Edward F. #2 (11 JUL 1886 - 6 DEC 1967)
Edward Fredrick Braun, 81, passed away at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital on Dec. 6, 1967 following a long illness.
He was born July 11, 1886 in rural Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) to the late William and Amelia Horn Braun. He attended Braun Settlement School, later went to La Crosse Business College. Following his marriage to Marie Damerow in June 1914, they resided on a farm northwest of Greenwood until his retirement. His wife passed away Jan. 11, 1955. In October 1957 he made his home in Sheboygan Falls wehre he was married to Mrs. Tillie boll, who survives him.
Edward Braun was a member of the Braun Settlement School Board, member of the consistory of the Salem Reformed Church, Chairman of the Town of Longwood for many years. He was a charger member and director of Warner Town Mutual Insurance and served as treasurer and director of Greenwood Milk Products Co-op.
He is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Iris) Phillips; a foster daughter, Mrs. S. (Bernice Kruse) Stanley, Milwaukee; two sons, Clyaton, Greenwood; Dr. Edward M. Braun, Brookfield; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Elvera Voss, Plymouth; Mrs. Willard (Luellen) Greisch, Milwaukee; Mrs. Lloyd (Florece Haas, Sheboygan; four stepsons, Huber boll, Plymouth; Marvin Boll, Sheboygan, Elmer Boll, Burlington; Harry Boll, Milwaukee; a brother, Dr. Elmer Braun, Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Norman (Setonia) Mitchell, Lake Geneva.
A daughter, Beatrice, and a stepson, Raymond, preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held Dec. 9 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls, and on Dec. 10, services were held at the Hill Funeral Home, Rev. David Logue of Zion Immanuel United Church of Christ, officiating.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Kenneth, Steven, Ronald, Larry and David Boll, and Clayton W. Braun.
Mrs. Alvin Albert was organist, Mrs. Carol Ligon+ sang "Abide with Me" and "My God and I." Burial was made in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
