Brooks/Bullion Match (Match - 30 October 1903)
Herb Brooks, president of the gun club, has always thought he could out-shoot Bob Bullion, who is captain of the club, and said so. Bob always knew better, and last Friday he called Brooks for a match over on the range, the forfeit being an oyster supper for the entire club of 20 hearty men. Herb was confident and even offered to bet a dollar that Bob would never show up at the range. But Robert was there, and hid in the trap till the moment for the shoot to begin, when he showed up, and the fun began. Out of a possible 25 each Bob got 20 and Herb 15. Great sport eating the supper Sunday resulted, and Capt. Bullion has acquired an expanded fame as a trap shooter.
