Jackson, Mr./Mrs. Robert (40th - 24 SEP 1967)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Jackson celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 24, 1967, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.  Open house was held from 2 - 5 p.m. and a supper for all relatives attending was served at 6:00.

 

Also celebrating were Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Jackson of Waukesha in honor of their 7th anniversary; Miss Darlene Kirn in honor of her first birthday; and Miss Lisa Wren in honor of her first birthday.  Miss Kirn is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson and Miss Wren is their niece’s daughter.

 

Present were the Jackson’s four children: Mrs. Paul (Eula) Franz; Mrs. Roger (Yvonee) Kirn; Wayne, Marilynn at home, and their 13 grandchildren.

 

Those attending from out of town included: Mr. and Mrs. Arne Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wanish of Catawba; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Seelow, Mr. Richard Seelow, Miss Joan Ganczak, Mrs. Dorothy Ganczak, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Jackson and son; Mr. Gary Jackson, Mrs. Aveline Jackson, Wayne Jackson and family, Bob and Betty Oleson, all of Waukesha; Carol Tischendorf of East Troy; Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Wren and Lisa of West Bend; Mr. and Mrs. Clebourne Graff of Menomonie; Mrs. Mildred Jackson of Clear Lake; Mrs. Edna (Schaller) Franzine of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. John Betz, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Herrick and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kirn and family, all of Willard.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Franz and family, Elk Mound; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mortenson and family of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Walker anf family of Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hansen and family of Granton; Mrs. Harry Hansen of Humbird; Mrs. Blanch Schmidt, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst and family of Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Unger and family of Owen.

 

Following the supper, Rev. Myhrwold read a poem, "40 years of Memories," composed by Mrs. Paul Franz, the Jackson’s oldest daughter.

 

The children presented their parents with a lovely lounge chair and many cards and gifts were received from friends and relatives.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jackson were married on Sept. 24, 1927 in Phillips, Wis., and have resided in Clark County since their marriage, and in the Greenwood area since 1942.

 

They wish to thank everyone for their help in making it a very happy occasion.
