Neillsville, Wisconsin High School Commencement (31 May 1928)
(First line or two missing) The Press was being printed this week Tuesday evening just as preparations are being perfected for the commencement exercises of he Class of 1928, Neillsville High School. The graduating class consists of 38 members in the regular courses and 19 graduates from the Teachers’ Training Departments. The pictures of all these graduates will be found on an inside page of this issue of the Press. The program tonight closes a remarkably excellent year’s work, and the class as a whole has been a strong class throughout the course.
The following is the program:

The Monday Progress Pin this year goes to Lela Raine, the student who had had the highest average standing during the past year. This is the seventeenth year the Neillsville Monday Progress Club has given a pin on the same conditions and it is a gift of which the recipient may well be proud.
Two special honor pins are given, one to a boy and one to a girl. These are given for superior scholarship, combined with outside activities. The boy’s pin this year goes to Clifford Nelson and the girl’s pin to Marie Short.
Prof. Finney, the speaker of the evening, holds the chair of Educational Sociology in the University of Minnesota. He is the author of several books in his special field, one of which is in use in Neillsville High School. He is a speaker of wide reputation and will give his audience a worth while address.
