Neillsville, Wisconsin High School (Class Day Exercises - 28 May 1928)

Class Day Exercises of Neillsville High School were held at the assembly room Monday night.

The program consisted of music by the school band - three very fine selections being given.

Class History by Frances Quinnell outlined some of the most memorable events in the school life of the class of 1928.  Class Prophecy by Florence Thoma in which she drew in some degree upon her imagination as well as her spirit of prophecy in forecasting the future lives of members of the class.

Class Will by Clifford Nelson in which were bequeathed a long list of things which the departing seniors could not take with them into the "hereafter" whence they were about to go. Then came the bestowal of prizes given by a Neillsville business man for special work along the literary lines. The first prize of $10 was given to Roslyn Warlum for a play which she wrote and which was considered of high merit; the second prize of $5 was given to Dorothy Lynch for an essay on Civilization, also an excellent production.

The last on the program was the presentation of Eighth Grade diplomas to those who had completed the course in the grades.  These diplomas entitle them to enter high school next September; 29 pupils received these diplomas.

Quite a large number of students besides the seniors and eighth graders were present at the program and many of their parents and friends.
