Sternitzky, Mr. and Mrs. Ed (25th Anniversary - 11 June 1928)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sternitzky of Lynn celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of their marriage at their farm home on Monday, June 11. All of Mr. and Mrs. Sternitzky’s sisters and brothers, excepting one sister of Mrs. Sternitzky in California, were present with their families for a six o’clock dinner and in the evening a crowd of neighbors and friends came with baskets of good things to eat. The bridesmaids and best men of the original wedding were all in attendance except the sister in California.
The "marriage" ceremony was performed by Rev. V. M. Keiper, who also gave a fine talk, speaking from the same text as was used by the officiating minister twenty-five years ago.
The band came and gave a fine serenade playing a number of beautiful pieces which were greatly appreciated by Mr. and Mrs. Sternitzky and all the guests.
Refreshments were served to the band and all the guests. The tables were decorated with snow-balls.
All in attendance greatly enjoyed the occasion and went home wishing the "bride" and "groom" many years of happy life.
