Big Store Holds Picnic (July 5, 1928)
Friday evening all of the Zimmerman and Sons Co. store people had a picnic at Schuster Park in honor of George Fox Smith, who closed his work as dry goods department in the store, Saturday, to take a similar position in a store at Rockford, Illinois. The picnic was a surprise on Mr. Smith and was greatly enjoyed by all, as the weather was ideal. Mr. Smith left Sunday for his new work.
Mr. and Mrs, Smith and family have made a host of friends here who regret to lose them from the local business and social circles.
