Rawson, Rev. and Mrs. C. A. (Shower - 13 July 1928)
Friday evening the Carmi Chapter of the Eastern Star of Neillsville gave a miscellaneous shower in honor of Rev. and Mrs. C. A. Rawson at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Neverman. A large number of ladies of the order were in attendance and many fine presents were bestowed. Mrs. Adolph Unger had charge of the ceremonies of presentation and considerable amusement was had at certain parts of it - one stunt being to require Mr. Rawson to name each article as his wife unwrapped the package; in case he could not name it or tell its use he was required to make an off-hand "poem". He was unable to name a number of articles, but proved himself quite a ready rhymester. There was community singing and ice cream and cake were served. It was a most happy evening for all present.
