Primary Pupils (Booklets - 23 August 1928)
Unique booklets are being prepared in the County Superintendent’s office for the use of pupils in the first and second grades of all rural schools. These booklets are for seat work in poems and stories for these younger pupils and will doubtless be of great value in the schools. They are produced on sheets 8 ½ by 13 inches illustrated with appropriate pictures, arranged with blanks in the lines for pupils to fill in the appropriate words, and other ingenious devices for keeping the little folks profitably busy and interested. The booklets consist of 24 pages and cover.
The matter was compiled and selected by Miss Bernice Eide from the most reliable sources, and the stencils were cut, the mimeograph work, gathering and stapling, etc., all done in the County Superintendent’s office. They will be distributed to the teachers at the Teachers’ Institute in September.
