Glowacki, M. P. (New Enterprise in Thorp - 1928)
M. P. Glowacki is the instigator of an organization which has the suggestive name of Wisconsin Fox and Fur Company. The amount of incorporation is $25,000, of which $14,000 has been subscribed and $9,000 paid in. The shares are $25.00 with a minimum of four shares to each stockholder.
The Company will start its business of raising foxes, minks and muskrats on the Paul Glowacki farm, located northwest of the village. Eight pair of fox has already been purchased by the corporation, but the plan is to raise, chiefly, muskrats and mink. Other farms of this kind have prospered in this state and there seems to be no reason why this should not be a success. - Thorp Courier.
