Briski, Mary (10 JAN 1891 - 5 JAN 1967)
Services were conducted at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the Hill Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Mike Briski, Sr., 75, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), who died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 1967, at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she had been admitted Dec. 9 after a fall at her home. The Rev. Aloysius Baumann officiated and burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The former Mary Zagar was born in Yugoslavia on Jan. 10, 1891. Her marriage to Mike Briski, Sr., took place June 12, 1912, at Gallup, N.M.
In 1915, they moved to a farm northwest of Greenwood, where they resided until 1961, when they came to the city of Greenwood.
Mrs. Briski was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Society.
In addition to her husband, survivors are four daughters, Mrs. William (Mary) Agiewich, Mrs. Frank (Anna) Vivoda and Miss Helen Briski, all of Cicero, Ill.; and Mrs. Joseph (Zora) Muvrin, Hillside, Ill.; two sons, Frank Thorp and Mike Briski, Jr., Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Briski, Greenwood; and a brother, Marko Zagar, Yugoslavia; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
