At a 1:00 p.m. ceremony Saturday, Sept, 17, 1966, wedding vows were exchanged by Miss Eleanor Barbara Noeldner, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Harry D. Johnson, Greenwood, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, with her father giving her in marriage.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noeldner, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson, Greenwood.
The Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, performed the marriage rites. Donald Noeldner, Greenwood, and Nathan Noeldner, Loyal, sang "O Perfect Love," "O Promise Me" and "The Lord’s Prayer." Debbie Myhrwold, Greenwood, was the organist.
The bride chose for her wedding a floor length bridal gown made with a bateau neckline on the fitted bodice of nylon sheer over Chantilly lace. A small bow trimmed the front waistline of the controlled skirt of nylon sheer over taffeta, the back being completed by a bateau panel with bow trim.
Her fingertip illusion veil was secured to a crown of lace edged with pearls and accented with aurora borealis crystal trim. The bride carried an arrangement of red sweetheart roses and stephanotis.
Miss Brenda Noeldner, Loyal, was the maid of honor; and Miss Gloria Koenig, Wausau, the bridesmaid.
They wore floor length formals with bateau necklines on bodices of moss green velvet and empire waistlines to accent the A-line skirts of brocade. They moss green double bow headpieces had veils.
The groom chose Sam Johnson, Greenwood, as his best man and Dale Johnson, Eau Claire was the groomsman. Ushering duties were performed by ray Johnson, Greenwood, and Gary Oswald, Marshfield.
A reception was held at the bride’s parental home. That evening a dance was held at the Silver Dome Ballroom, Neillsville.
The bride is a January 1966 graduate of North Central Technical Institute, Wausau, has been working for Marshfield Homes Inc., Marshfield. The groom is a 1959 graduate of Greenwood High School, and is an apprentice lineman for Clark Electric Cooperative, Greenwood.
They will reside at Greenwood after Sept. 26, when they return from a wedding trip to the West.
