Zaeske, Otto (1928)
Otto is Going Strong - While Otto Zaeske was field man for the condensary, he wrote a little life insurance as a side line and practiced up a little evenings. Last July he decided that the life insurance game was a pretty good one and jumped into it with both feet, taking the district managership of the Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York. His district comprises the counties of Clark, Taylor and Jackson. Just how well adapted is Otto to the life insurance business is shown by the record he made since he started in as full-time agent. Taking the entire United States he was on the honor roll both in August and September. He stood 12th in the number of applications secured during August and 4th in September and is making a strong effort to head the list in October. If he makes the same rate of advancement, he will head the list and have some to spare. But that isn’t all. He won a new Stetson hat for being first among the district managers in the month from August 13th to Sept. 8th and duplicated again in this inter-district contest for the month just closing, bringing in just $500 more business than his closest opponent. As a result of this effort he will attend a big banquet at St. Paul at the expense of the company. All of which success is very pleasing to Otto’s friends at home.
