Indian School Building (29 November 1928)

A meeting of the building committee to have charge of construction work of the large addition to the Winnebago Indian School to be erected next summer, was held here Monday for the purpose of organizing and making some tentative plans for the work.

Superintendent Ben Stucki was elected chairman of the committee and Rev. E. H. Vornholdt was elected secretary, it seeming desirable to have these two officers on the ground and close in touch with the work.  Other members of the committee present were Rev. Bolliger of Madison, Rev. Grosshuesch of Sheboygan and Mr. Arpke of Sheboygan.  Mr. Arpke is Superintendent of the Sheboygan County Asylum and has had much experience in building.

Although no definite plans are settled at present it seems to be the intention to have the work done largely by local labor, and local materials as far as possible will be used.
